透過文獻搜集探討、分析研究及田野調查訪談等方式，對臺灣光影創作領域之作品進行調查分析，研究範圍涵蓋光本身、處理光線的媒介及媒材、光影最終成象等。如：自然光源與人工光源的應用及差異、媒介本身的性質或透光與否、光影成像的呈現、甚至近期於裝置藝術中常運用的光雕投影技術（3D Mapping Projection）⋯⋯等，都將納入本研究的探討範圍。除了光影作品本身，創作者的設計觀點，以及光影創作如何影響其所處的空間建物，甚至物體本身的氛圍表現也都值得探討。

With an aim to explore how contemporary artists and designers apply their concepts through different techniques to the fields of space design, art, product design, crafts...etc. we hoped to have a better understanding of their context, and to serve as basis for brighter future.
