Retired Power, Reborn Light

Under the curatorial concept "Retired Power, Reborn Light," this exhibition was designed for TPC Creative. The project explores materials retired from Taiwan Power Company’s energy generation process—such as decommissioned wooden crossarms, transformer boxes, copper sealing strips, and even silt from Sun Moon Lake. It goes beyond showcasing creative products made from recycled materials, inviting the audience to understand their origins, the transformation process, and their spiritual significance.

This exhibition is more than just a display; it is an experimental platform designed to be mobile, extendable, and reusable. To emphasize sustainability, all props and designs are built on the principles of reuse and low waste, ensuring flexibility and continuity for TPC Creative’s future exhibitions and product developments.

Through this exhibition, we hope the audience sees more than just products. We want them to witness the sense of responsibility represented by TPC Creative—ensuring that the history of electricity is not discarded, but redefined; and that the life of these materials does not end with retirement, but continues as a spark of culture.
